Mathaf invites you to join a public talk with Researcher and Independent Curator Amal Al Haag. The talk will dive deeper into how Somali artists and professionals in the cultural sector use the social media and digital culture as catalysts for understanding, recovery of lost histories, repair archives and building relationships beyond political borders. How do Somali artists exchange knowledge and engage creatively across social, historical and socio-economic boundaries? With contributions by photographer Mustafa Saeed and artist and Numbi founder Kinsi Abdulleh.

This talk will take place over Zoom and will be in English with simultaneous Arabic translation.
